The Effect of Relative Humidity on Shore Organisms

Rocky shore organisms are marine and as such are water living, one of the main problems they face is that of desiccation, obviously when the tide is out but more of a problem on a dry day or in a dry part of the shore than when the RH is high or the organism is in a damp place (such as a Litorrinid under a mat of seaweed).

The problems of of desiccation are dealt with elsewhere.
