The BELT TRANSECT-2.
If you click here you can go straight to an actual transect carried out on the Bembridge Shore. The quadrats are shown in order on the screen and can be viewed in a very large format, so you can do counts and/or estimate percentage cover. The data can then be plotted as a KITE DIAGRAM either by hand or using software such as FieldWorks (contact). A bar chart can be produced with EXCEL or similar. On the pages you will find links to a ready plotted version (password protected, apply to gary skinner) or to a similar bit of shore on the Medina Valley Field Centre website (which is on the IoW.).
